Blackboard users have something in common with the classic fairy tale characters, Hansel and Gretel: Both use breadcrumbs to navigate to their destination.
Blackboard’s Breadcrumbs are located at the top of any course shell, in line with the Home button.
- The trail of Breadcrumbs shows you how you navigated to the location you are currently accessing in your course.
- Each segment of the Breadcrumb trail, separated by a right-pointing carrot, designates a specific location in a course.
- You can click any segment of the breadcrumb trail to return to that portion of the course. This can prevent you from having to repeatedly click your browser’s back button, and allow you to navigate directly to the desired location in the course.
